On 26-27 April, VIEWS Director Håvard Hegre co-led a workshop titled DemIndex for the Stability and Change project. The workshop was funded and hosted by the Centre for Advanced Study (CAS) and focused on fostering conversations on how we can improve our ability to measure democracy for empirical study. Although the workshop primarily focused on measuring democracy, the conversations also extended to topics on democratic and autocratic regimes more generally.
At the workshop, VIEWS member Daivd Randahl presented his paper titled, “Inexorable force or dying wave: An Analysis of Regime Change and a Peek into the Future”.
VIEWS members Paola Vesco, Jim Dale, Simon Polichinel von der Maase, and Chandler Williams were in attendance.
