The call for proposals is now open for the 2026 Data for Peace conference, a multi-stakeholder convening that explores how data and technology can support violence prevention, anticipatory action, and crisis response. This year’s theme, “From Early Warning to Early Action: Bridging Scientific Innovation with Policy and Practice,” focuses on strengthening the link between analytical advances and real-world decision-making.
The conference brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, practitioners, data providers, humanitarian actors, and PeaceTech innovators, to exchange ideas, share experiences, and build collaboration across sectors.
Taking place on 15–17 June 2026, the programme will feature two in-person days in Stockholm, followed by a fully virtual third day designed to broaden participation and create space for interactive exchange and work-in-progress discussions.
The conference is hosted by the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University, the NYU Center on International Cooperation, and AI for Peace – with generous support from CRAF’d, Folke Bernadotte Academy, and the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland. VIEWS is one of the conference’s in-kind partners.
📢 The call for proposals is open until 13 April.
