VIEWS Senior Researcher Simon Polichinel von der Maase delivered a keynote address titled “Early Warning, Early Action: Leveraging AI to Anticipate Violent Conflict” at a recent workshop in Leipzig.

Held from December 3–6, the workshop provided an in-depth exploration of digital humanities and data visualization methods in peace and conflict research. It was co-hosted by the Leibniz Institute for East and Southeast European Studies (IOS) in Regensburg and the Institute for Regional Geography (IfL) in Leipzig.
