VIEWS Featured During Crown Prince Haakon’s Visit to PRIO

Oslo, Norway – On 5 May, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway visited the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) for a series of briefings on global challenges, including conflict, migration, emerging technologies, and the humanitarian consequences of war.

As part of the visit, VIEWS researchers Sonja Häffner and Simon Polichinel von der Maase presented the Violence & Impacts Early-Warning System (VIEWS), highlighting how data-driven forecasting can support understanding of conflict risks and inform decision-making.

The visit brought together PRIO researchers working across a range of topics and showcased ongoing efforts to advance research-based approaches to peace, security, and conflict prevention.
