We are pleased to announce that VIEWS’ conflict forecasts are now available on the Humanitarian Data Exchange (HDX)—an open data platform maintained by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Users can now access VIEWS’ monthly-updated conflict forecasts at both the country and sub-national (0.5° grid cell) levels, covering a rolling three-year forecast window. The data is available in two formats: individual country datasets, and aggregated datasets compiling all countries at the national level and all sub-national forecasts across Africa and the Middle East. All datasets are accompanied by detailed metadata and codebooks to support consistent interpretation and analysis.
HDX offers API access for seamless integration into internal platforms and data pipelines—enabling researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to efficiently apply VIEWS forecasts in their work.
We extend our sincere thanks to the HDX team for their excellent collaboration in making this resource widely accessible.
