We are thrilled to welcome four new members of staff this fall; three based at Uppsala University, and one at PRIO in Oslo.

Anna Wadén and Bruno Goebel were the first to join us earlier this month. They are both undertaking a five-month internship with VIEWS as part of their master’s program in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University. They will work across all areas of operations.

Also joining the Uppsala team is our new Research Engineer, Borbála Farkas. She will be working on the model pipeline, model development, and everything in between and beyond. She has a background in theoretical physics and environmental polar science.

Last, but certainly not least, we have a new Junior Machine Learning Developer in our Oslo team: Dylan Pinheiro. He has a MSc. in Data Science from the University of Essex with a focus on MLOps and Artificial Neural Networks.
