From Early-Warning to Early Action: Bridging Scientific Innovation with Policy and Practice
Data for Peace 2026 is a three-day conference taking place on 15–17 June 2026, bringing together researchers, peacebuilders, policymakers, data providers, humanitarian actors, and peace technologists to explore how data and technology can support violence prevention, anticipatory action, and crisis response.
Hosted by the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University, the NYU Center on International Cooperation, and AI for Peace, the conference creates a space for dialogue and collaboration across research, policy, and practice. VIEWS is an in-kind partner to the conference, and contributes to this shared effort to strengthen the use of data-driven approaches in peacebuilding and crisis response.
The programme includes two in-person days in Stockholm, which will be livestreamed where session formats allow, followed by a fully virtual third day designed to broaden participation and encourage candid feedback and exchange on work in progress. All sessions will be held in English, and recordings will be made publicly available after the event.
